Daley's Week 8 in Review

Another week has flown by, thankfully! I lost 1 pound this week and I am happy with that. I am starting to realize that I am going to have to start making a few adjustments to my work out routine because I am not losing as much each week as I would like to. I would really like to be losing closer to 2-3 pounds per week, nothing outrageous. However, I am also not going to complain too much about 1 pound per week because the main goal is to lose weight in a fun, healthy way while maintaining my sanity! :)

I want to thank everyone who helps keep me motivated, mainly my sweet husband who always makes sure I know that he supports me 100% and loves me no matter what. I can't wait to see what the rest of this year has in store for us!

Daley's Week 7 in Review

Well here we are again, another week down. I have to say that I am more than a little disappointed with this weeks weigh in. I made it through a really rough week at school without 'cheating' on my points or without missing a day of working out....all to find out that I gained 1 pound! I mean, REALLY!?!?!? It is the most frustrating thing when you work this hard and you gain weight instead of lose. It really made me think 'what's the point!' and made me really want to throw in the towel but, I decided to look on the bright side and tell myself that I was gaining muscle (even if that isn't the case, it made me feel better) and I would just try harder next week. I think it is the little times like this, that I realize that I am not on a diet, that I am simply changing the way that I live.

Well, here is to a much better week ahead and my goal this week is to lose 1 pound. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy week!

Daley's having a great week.....

This week has been awesome and tomorrow is just Friday! Last Sunday my fellow classmates and I were calling this week our "hell week" because we had 5 tests, 1 quiz and not to mention, it was our first week of clinicals. I was really just praying to make it to Friday and was just taking it one day at a time but I have to say that this week has been truly amazing. My tests (so far) have gone very well and my clinicals were such an awesome experience. I guess my point to all of this, tying it back into weight loss, is that I was still able to stay on track, within my points, AND exercise every day this week. Oh, and the best part is that my sweet husband comes home tomorrow! Yay!!! Can't wait to see if all of this pays off at my weight in on Sunday. :-)

Daley's Week 6 in Review

Wow, week 6, really? I am amazed at not only how fast the past six weeks have flown by but also by the fact that I have actually stuck to the program the entire time. I have not once, in six weeks, gone over my weekly allowance of points, which in itself, makes me pretty proud of myself. However, I do know that I can do better so over the course of the next six weeks, I am going to pick up the pace a bit.

So this week I expected to lose a pound or two which I would have been totally okay with but, instead, I lost 5 pounds!!! Pretty awesome, huh? I know it sort of sounds like I am bragging (I promise I am not!) but I am really proud of myself this week. This brings my total weight loss, to date, to 23 pounds!

I am struggling a little with fitting in workouts in my schedule but I think since the weather is started to warm up a little then I will start using my Nike+ GPS and walking more outside again, along with my Biggest Loser for Kinect.

I can't wait to report on week 7!

Daley's Quote of the Day

"Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, 'What's in it for me?'" -Brian Tracy

Daley's Week 5 in Review

Alright, well, this week has been pretty crazy. School is starting to really become overwhelming and all I can do is focus on when Spring Break will be here. Not to mention, the weather has been pretty crazy so that makes it hard to want to go outside and workout. Anyway, I have NO EXCUSES, I didn't do nearly as well as I would have liked to this week but I still lost 1 pound. Once again, I didn't exercise as often as I know I should have (I only worked out twice this week!) but I stills stayed within my daily points allowance as well as my weekly points. I did use every single one of my weekly points this week because the cold weather made me want to eat more (why does it do that???) but I still made healthier choices.

So, this next week, I am going to have to kick it up a bit. My goal is to lose 3 pounds this week. It is going to be hard but if I can exercise at least 3 days this week and make sure all of my "healthy checks" are completed everyday, then I think I can do it. I also start clinicals this week so hopefully all of the running around on Wednesday and Thursday will help out too! Can't wait to let everyone know how this week goes.
